Unknown 03:58
Sun's going down, I'm sticking around 'Cause I find it easier in the dark Lately I've found the sights and the sounds Are getting too much for my feeble heart I'm going nowhere Breathing the sea air Singing the blues Maybe change my hair The clothes that I wear Be totally new My windows are closed; my eyes are so slow You won't get near my soul This place is too cold, but it never snows Can't keep my cards in my hand so I fold I'm going nowhere Breathing the sea air Singing the blues Maybe change my hair The clothes that I wear Be totally new Where did my home go? I'm feeling so low Oh, what's the use Now I'm an unknown I'll go it alone I won't bother you Maybe one day I'll come back With my legs broke and my skin cracked Maybe one day I'll come back I've not got much to lose So I'll find somewhere new I'll try my best not to think of you I'm going nowhere Breathing the sea air Singing the blues Maybe change my hair The clothes that I wear Be totally new Where did my home go? I'm feeling so low Oh, what's the use Now I'm an unknown I'll go it alone I won't bother you Now I'm an unknown I'll go it alone I won't bother you

Runaway 03:39
Jenny's been working in a dive bar Never thought she'd get very far She's waiting on a train to take her away She's been counting up her tips And sinking down into the quicksand She's gonna make her great escape She knows she won't stick around I'm leaving here This place is killing me I need to breathe some fresh air I will run away To someplace nobody knows my name I'm headed for the middle of nowhere Jenny's been working on a plan Hitting the freeway, cash in hand She's gonna find somebody who feels the same She knows she won't stick around She knows she's outgrown this town I'm leaving here This place is killing me I need to breathe some fresh air I will run away To someplace nobody knows my name I'm headed for the middle of nowhere Let's just run away Let's just run away! I'm leaving here This place is killing me I need to breathe some fresh air I will run away To someplace nobody knows my name I'm headed for the middle of nowhere Let's just run away Let's just run away! I'm headed for the middle of nowhere

The Fall 03:51
Let's begin at the beginning I find it hard to grasp the end I don't know what you were thinking to do this at all Let alone do it again They say trust is like a mirror It can always be repaired So tell me, when you look at yourself Do you see the same old cracks as me? Just remember I will cry with my mother And I'll lie to my sister 'Cause I know that she'd miss you if you were gone But for me, we were done when I wrote this song So tell me what went through your head When she took your hand and led you to her bed Did you think of the house that you built? Did you think of the vows that you said? Just remember I will cry with my mother And I'll lie to my sister 'Cause I know that she'd miss you if you were gone But for me, we were done when I wrote this song I don't think it would be so hard If you would just come out with it all But you had to go and break our hearts You used to stand so tall, now here's the fall Just remember I will cry with my mother And I'll lie to my sister 'Cause I know that she'd miss you if you were gone But for me, we were done when I wrote this song

How do you do? You look familiar Have we met before? I seem to remember Who got inside your head? I can't forget the things you said I don't see the girl I knew I guess we're stuck here with you Where did you go? You're leaving me behind I just want to know What or who is on your mind Should I quit it? You're not the same as back before Did you take a hit? 'Cause I don't know you anymore I recognise before my eyes that you're the same shape and size But I don't think you realise That you're the same only in name because your brain won't play the game I tried to fight for you I'm feeling so confused I guess I lost you in every sense Where did you go? You're leaving me behind I just want to know What or who is on your mind Should I quit it? You're not the same as back before Did you take a hit? 'Cause I don't know you anymore Please explain to me 'cause you don't seem the same really Beyond the frame I see are you still who you claim to be? I asked you to stay, somebody stole you away I can't even bear to look your way these days I reached for you, you disappeared inside your head After everything I ever said, you still left me for dead Where did you go? You're leaving me behind I just want to know What or who is on your mind Should I quit it? You're not the same as back before Did you take a hit? 'Cause I don't know you anymore I don't know you anymore

about

Recorded at Nice Weather For Airstrikes Studios in the summer of 2016, 'Eden' represents my first steps into the recording world. Originally released under my former stage name 'Pedro', I now see this EP as something of a relic; I love the songs, and I'm proud of these versions, but I was only 18 when they were recorded - my skills as a performer, musician, writer and producer have vastly improved since then (in my opinion!).
Special thanks to my friend James Duff for playing drums on this EP, to Pete Lambrou for producing and guiding me through the recording process, and to Ollie Thrower for the cover art.
