Medicine 04:41
Staring at my notebook once again Trying to get my bones to grip the pen Trying to think of something to write for you None of my words can quite describe the view If I was to fall, would you climb down to me? 'Cos I think you're lovely, you're everything I know that I'm flawed, so please forgive me these And know that I'm yours if you'll have me Dreaming of your figure every night Dreaming how your bones lie just right Mine are too fragile, they just fall apart Yours fall perfectly surrounding your heart I've been feeling grim, dying to call you up again Darling you're my medicine I know my timing's bad, but I've got to speak honestly You're the very best part of me If I was to fall, would you climb down to me? 'Cos I think you're lovely, you're everything I know that I'm flawed, so please forgive me these And know that I'm yours if you'll have me So wake me up at like 3am again, just because you felt like talking I won't want the night to end You can pick me apart all you want, just to see what lies beneath my skin I'll show you all my sin If I was to fall, would you climb down to me? 'Cos I think you're lovely, you're everything I know that I'm flawed, so please forgive me these And know that I'm yours if you'll have me If I was to fall, would you climb down to me? 'Cos I think you're lovely, you're everything to me I know that I'm flawed, so please forgive me these And know that I'm yours if you'll have me

about

'Medicine' was the first song I wrote as a solo act, back in 2016. It's always been important to me - so special, in fact, that I've never been able to leave it behind. I've kept on playing it live, and I've kept believing that this song really had something. Over all those years, I evolved, and the song evolved with me. It's a special one, and now it's finally ready to be heard in all it's fully-realised glory. I hope you like it - it's been a long time coming.
